Jay Hawkins

Jay Hawkins is vice president and senior economist for The PNC Financial Services Group. In this role, he is primarily responsible for analyzing U.S. national and regional economic trends.

Prior to joining PNC in August 2024, he was a senior economist at BMO specializing in U.S. national and regional economic analysis and was previously the principal U.S. Economist at Visa for approximately 13 years.

Hawkins earned his Master of Arts in applied economics from the University of Central Florida with a concentration in public sector economics, and a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
