E. William Stone is executive vice president and chief investment strategist for PNC Wealth Management and PNC Institutional Investments. He is responsible for leading PNC's investment strategy team of analysts in monitoring factors that influence the direction of domestic and international financial markets. He is also a member of PNC's Investment Policy Committee that is responsible for defining an asset allocation and portfolio strategy used to advise all clients, individuals and institutional investors.

Stone joined PNC Wealth Management in 2000, serving most recently as investment director of the Pittsburgh and Boston markets. In this role, he provided investment leadership in the creation and implementation of investment strategies and served as a member of the Investment Policy Committee. He and his team of investment advisors worked closely with experts in financial and estate planning, trust and banking services to help clients achieve their financial objectives.

Stone's professional experience also includes several positions with Wall Street firms, most notably as financial analyst at Salomon Brothers and institutional sales with Smith Barney. He also served as chief investment officer at First Western Trust.

He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Chartered Market Technician. He is also a member of several professional organizations including the CFA Institute and the Market Technicians Association.

Stone is a cum laude and honor's program graduate of the University of Dayton with a bachelor's degree in finance. He earned a master's of business administration from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
