Dr. Harman is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Louisiana State University and a research scientist for the Naval Research Lab. He studies how the human mind forms judgments and makes decisions in a dynamic world, and how this knowledge can be used to make our lives better. Some of Dr. Harman’s’ work includes developing new ways to improve decision making related to finance, health decisions, assessment, and the environment. Dr. Harman received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Ohio University and spent three years as a post-doctoral fellow in Decision Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. He has won awards for both his teaching and research and his work is been published in leading journals of Psychology, Computer Science, and Organizational Behavior.
